Bruce Wolpe is an expert on U.S.-Australia relations who has spent time working for the Australian Government and for a senior Member of the U.S. Congress. Bruce is currently a Senior Fellow at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney and is a frequent media contributor on American politics. Bruce previously served as a Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff to former Australian Prime Minister and current Member of Parliament Julia Gillard. He served as a primary business liaison for the Prime Minister and was involved with many key economic initiatives, such as Australia’s chairmanship of the G20 in 2014. Bruce also previously served as Senior Advisor to Representative Henry A. Waxman (D-CA), Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, during President Barack Obama’s first term. Prior to this, Bruce was Director of Corporate Affairs for Fairfax Media Limited, based in Sydney.
